Prison Break Is Back In 2016

You read that right, Prison Break is back. Now, if you're like this writer you'll wonder,"How is another season even possible?" Well, according series creator Paul Scheuring, who parted ways with the show, has different ideas for this new adaptation of Prison Break.

“Paul is very cognizant of [that death],” Fox CEO Dana Walden has said. “At the point that Paul left the show, he had certain [storyline] ideas but was not interested in staying with the show full-time.  So I would say to those fans, ‘This is the pure vision of the creator of the show.’ It’s going to take a little detour from where we left off, but it should feel very satisfying.”

Right now the talk is that it will only be a 10-episode revival, sort of like the revival of 24 recently. This should be a cool twist, if done correctly. For yours truly, this show was incredible, and hopefully FOX doesn't ruin the show by throwing in nonsense that didn't necessarily need to be in there.

Supposedly the two brothers are back. Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell both have been confirmed for the season, as both are in a show right now already, Legends of Tomorrow. "'Prison Break' wouldn't happen if Wentworth didn't want to do it," Purcell told The Associated Press Monday at a CBS party for the TV Critics Association.

"Wentworth was the one who suggested me for ('Legends')," Purcell said. "The producers said, 'Do you know anyone that's kind of a force of nature? That's rough, that's edgy, that's crazy?' He said, 'I've got just the guy.' "

There is still limited information about the upcoming show. The plot-line is unknown, even the timeline is unknown, but what we do know is that Prison Break is back, and whether it's a good thing or bad thing, there should be excitement leading up to it.
