Despite a rough first season and an unsatisfying finale, Scream Queens has been renewed for a second season on Fox. The new season will be set in a hospital and feature some of the same actors playing the same characters in the new setting, although discussions are just beginning. There will also be a time jump, aging the cast into their 20s and 30s. It seems that the show is following the same format as American Horror Story and American Crime Story, both produced by Ryan Murphy.
The show was almost not considered for a second season due to its unimpressive numbers, which is why TV executives are doing all that they can to bring the ratings up. It’s been proven to be a huge hit among teens.
Season two spoilers teased that new cast members will be making their way to the show, including celebrities Taylor Swift and Harry Styles. The list of possible celebrity appearances just keeps growing including a possible appearance by Emma Roberts’ aunt, Julia Roberts. Although it is interesting to see if Swift’s acting has improved since Valentines Day, nothing has been confirmed about the exact casting list.
Season one left viewers with Chanel and her minions locked away in a mental hospital, this could be the same hospital that season two will be taking place in. There is report that the show will introduce four new male cast members to help diversify the show. Here’s to hoping that the new season will not disappoint.
