At the end of season six, Kate Beckett found her fiancé’s Mercedes engulfed in flames on her wedding day. With that dramatic finish to leave viewers craving the season premier, 'Castle' is set to have an extremely intense first episode of their seventh season.
There has been no hints that Castle and Beckett, or 'Caskett' are set to split, in fact in interviews new show runner David Amann repeatedly said that the troubles seen in episode one will bring the two closer. It is assumed there will however be a time jump after the first few minutes of the episode, one can only speculate it will be around a two month jump, but until the episode has aired there’s no way to tell.
Kate Beckett and her team consisting of detectives Javier Esposito and Kevin Ryan will exhaust all options in order to find the honorary fourth member of their team. With Castle being kidnapped, it opens up a whole new storyline for writers to explore, especially considering viewers do not know much about Castle's background. Producer Andrew Marlowe and show runner David Amann have in fact hinted that Caskett will get married before 2014 is over.
Past villains are hinted to make a comeback, most notably 3XK, who ran away with a plastic surgeon and left Castle and Beckett a little shaken last season. With the new season set to start up on Monday, September 29th and 10PM Eastern Time, it's going to be a fun ride seeing which direction the show goes.
