Warning, Full Spoilers Ahead!
Season 18 of South Park starts begins with Cartman laying in saying... Boner balls. Wait, what. Then Stan saying something just as foul and random. We find out that the boys (Cartman, Stan, Kyle, Butters, and Kenny) are trying to find a name for their start up company. Furry Plopped Menacingly on the Table, Inc. They then realize that the name doesn't quite roll off the tongue. All of a sudden, Cartman comes in and says "Washington Redskins". Realizing that the NFL pulled the name and it's now costless to use. They take the name and their company is now called "The Washington Redskins". Their mission statement? "By pledging us the money to do absolutely nothing, we will give you exactly that nothing". Their kick starter is for them to live forever and do nothing.
Dan Snider (owner of the NFL Washington Redskins) goes to Cartman in his Washington Redskins office comes in and tries to talk Cartman into not using the name because they are the Washington Redskins and the name is offensive to them because they don't want to be affiliated with a company that does nothing. Cartman refuses because he doesn't want to and changing the name would be be super hard. And ends by saying "From one Redskin to another. go f*** yourself".
People all over the world are following the lead of the Washington Redskins including the organization ISIS. Kyle says that they should make a statement saying that they don't agree with ISIS. Cartman disagrees saying "We aren't going to do anything. We started this company to do nothing." and saying "Digging our heals and pissing on public opinions is what The Washington Redkins are all about.". Kyle leaves and starts his own company after saying that the Washington Redkskins is a stupid name. Stan also leaves saying he doesn't see himself with the company.
Dan Snider is now furious that the name Washington Redskins are tied to ISIS and goes to the NFL commissioner who gives some lame vague excuse because that's what he did during the Ray Rice issue (South Park used the audio from the actual commissioner). Apparently the Commissioner is actually a robot and all of the owners are in on it. The owners decide that they are going to have Cartman change the logo. Cartman just adds boobs and scrotum to the name and says "Now when they here the name Redskins, they will think titties and balls".
Kyle and Stan go back to their original name of Furry Plopped Menacingly on the Table, Inc. Stan is still unsure saying that a start up name shouldn't have seven words and he is going to search for that perfect start up name. Meanwhile, Dan Snider and his Washington Redskins invade the Kick Starter company and completely annihilate everyone in the building and destroy everything they can (While there's Native American chanting in the background).
The next day, Cartman is ready to check to see how much money they've made when Butters tells him that Kick Starter has been burned to the ground. Naturally, Cartman thinks Kyle did it. Cartman confronts Kyle when Stan comes in and reminds them why they started their company to begin with. So they merge their company and they are still the Washington Redskins. So with Kick Starter down, they started a company called "Go Fund Yourself". Where you go out and get the funding and you give them five percent of what you make and that this is their biggest f*** you they could do. Their new logo is one Washington Redskin logo with boobs having sex with a bent over Washington Redskins logo.
In the NFL's Washington Redskins locker room, the team is defeated and decides that they no longer feel right playing for the Redskins. Just when it looks like the Dallas Cowboys were going to win by forfeit, Dan Snider comes out of the tunnel to play. The Cowboys completely destroy Snider who just keeps getting up every time he is tackled (Again, Native American music is playing in the background). The Dallas Cowboys fans are begging Snider to stay down, but he won't. Now people are protesting because the Redskin name is offensive. The boys are now forced to go to school since they won't change their name.
This was the perfect way to start the season. A classic South Park episode with a topical subject and not taking it to serious. A season opener sets the tone for the rest of the season. Seeing as how there were tons of subjects in the news that will be touched on by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, they didn't swing for the fences early by going right for the Fappenning (Which they almost have to talk about).
A personal favorite from this episode was the commissioner bot and Jerry Jones' eye.
Rating: 10
No lulls, the obvious jokes were well placed, and they pushed the envelope as always.
