It was built to work with the essential Microsoft Office and Skype, and you can organize and switch between them using Snap and Task View.

The update brings Cortana to the PC, the voice assistant previously found only on Windows Phones and tablets. Microsoft also introduces Microsoft Edge, the browser that now replaces Internet Explorer. They've also added their new music app, Groove.

Microsoft has launched Microsoft Phone Companion, an app that brings the Windows 10 experience to iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone. They also have several built-in apps added to Windows 10, including Photos, Maps, and Movies & TV.

Microsoft has also released the new Office mobile apps for Windows 10 Tablets on the Windows Store. Windows 10 Tablets come pre-loaded with OneNote for quick note taking.

Starting today, those who have a system running Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 reserved their free upgrade will be notified in waves as to when they are ready. Starting August 1, businesses and organizations that have proper licensing can upgrade to Windows 10 Enterprise and Windows 10 Education.
