Championship Sunday began early for the six remaining teams in the Call of Duty MLG Pro League Season 3 Relegation Tournament. We awoke to a treat as iSolation Empire took on Prophecy in the day's opening match. This match was crucial as the loser would go home, and the winner would qualify for the League.

It took 5 games to find a winner, but the young guns from iSo took out the championed veterans from Prophecy. This would mean that respected players such as Apathy, Aqua, and Octane would all be left without a team. Along with Aches, the player with the second most championships of all time.

In the next qualifying match, OpTic Nation would match up against sYnergy. This match wouldn't be as contested, seeing OpTic Nation win 3-1 and regain a spot in the League for the fourth straight season. It will also be the fourth straight season OpTic has had two teams in the League. With OpTic Gaming being the two - time defending League champions, and OpTic Nation always being in the bottom of the League, it is often referred to as the "OpTic Sandwich". OpTic Nation will hope that the momentum would carry on in this tournament and into the League.

In the Lower bracket semifinals, OpTic Nation would take on iSolation. At this point of the tournament, with all four remaining teams secured in the League, all that was left to play for was the prize money.

In the Lower Bracket Semifinals, iSolation would begin a tear through the remianing opponents. They would sweep OpTic Nation 3-0 to secure a spot in the Lower Bracket Finals.

Following this match, Epsilon and Orbit would square off in the Upper Bracket finals. With the winner going to the Grand Finals, and the loser being sent to the Lower Bracket Finals. The series was closesly contested by both teams, but Epsilon did just enough to cut of Orbit and win the series 3-1.

In the Lower Bracket Finals, there was a rematch between Orbit and iSolation Empire. You may recall that on Saturday, Orbit defeated iSolation 3-2. But Call of Duty is typically day-to-day. This time around, iSolation would crush Orbit in a 3-0 victory.

The Grand Final was between Epsilon and iSolation Empire. Being that Epsilon hadn't lost a series this weekend, iSolation would need to defeat them twice to take home the championship.

In the first best of five series, Epsilon and iSolation were content, but the match was not close. iSolation Empire would win this series 3-1 to force a second best of five for the championship.

In the second best of five series, iSolation blew the doors open on the seriers. They crushed, demoralized, dismantled, engulfed, any word you could imagine, they did it to Epsilon. iSolation Empire would win 3-0 to be crowned Champions at the Season 3 Relegation Tournament.

For Havok, Silly, and LlamaGod, it was their first major championship in their young careers. For team leader Dedo, it was his third career championship and his first since ESWC last November.
